Florians is owned by Hampshire based Horticulturist, Michelle Washington-Jenkins. 

Like many people, Michelle's journey to horticulture has been preceded by a different route altogether. After leaving school in Sunninghill, Michelle worked overseas as Dancer in Asia & Europe. Afterwards, a career as a private Pilates teacher in Mayfair & Chelsea. Michelle then co-founded Shoreditch based model & talent agency W Mgmt and remains a non-executive Director. 

A career break to raise 3 children and a decade later of growing plants and flowers, Michelle retrained academically though the Royal Horticultural Society and worked as a gardener at Heckfield Place & West Green House. Michelle has recently returned to Heckfield as an in-house florist.

Michelle can also be found in her own Victorian walled garden and two acre plot in Dipley filming and encouraging others to share her passion for growing sustainably, no matter what age and stage of their life.
